Valverán is a cider press house located in Sariego, in the heart of the Asturias cider region, where we care for more than 35,000 apple trees using integrated cultivation. It is a magical enclave where the green hues of the landscape blend beautifully with the colors of the perfectly aligned orchards.
Valverán is the product of the Masaveu family project, created by José Masaveu in 1998 and directed by his guiding vision since that time. A cider dream come true, in which years of hard work have been invested. It is also a pioneer project that, in 2007, converted Valverán into the first cider press in the Iberian Peninsula to produce the first Asturian ice cider. And today it is still the only cider press in Spain dedicated exclusively to the production of a product as special as ice cider.
11 different varieties of native Asturian apples paint the landscape of our estate, the most extensive apple orchard in Asturias. The varieties have been carefully selected taking into account the characteristics of the terrain, the climate and the highest standards of quality. Therefore in Valverán, acid, semi-acid, sweet and sour-bitter apples coexist, cultivated using integrated agriculture as well as a strong and true commitment to the land and the environment.
