The Landschaftspflegeverband Main-Kinzig-Kreis e.V. (LPV) was founded in 1992 with the aim of preserving a species-rich cultural landscape. It is a voluntary association of agriculture, local politics and nature conservation.
The association’s activities focus on the maintenance and conservation of orchards and species-rich grassland as well as protective measures for selected animal and plant species in the Main-Kinzig district.
Together with many partners, such as the Main-Kinzig district, the towns and municipalities, nature conservation organisations and the district farmers’ association, innovative solutions are being developed to tackle current problems such as species extinction and the climate crisis.
The LPV team consists of 12 motivated colleagues who have their offices in the LPV office in Burgjoss and in the district administration of the Mai-Kinzig district in Gelnhausen.
Matthias Metzger, a qualified forestry engineer, has been Managing Director of the LPV since 2021.
