Geisenheim University, the scientific partner of the CiderWorld Award, is one of the world’s leading universities in the field of beverage technology. All submitted products are analysed at the Institute for Beverage Research at Geisenheim University.
An international jury of experts tastes and evaluates all products according to the proven CiderWorld 120-point scheme. Country-specific and regional typicities are taken into account by the jury.

Cider World 120 Points Scale
The evaluation criteria and categories were determined by an international jury of experts. Country-specific and regional characteristics of the products are taken into account. The sensory test is assessed according to the CiderWorld 120-point scale

CiderWorld Medal
Award for the best product of the category. Minimum score 109 points
Cider Star of the Year
This prize is awarded to a person who has rendered outstanding services to the preservation and further development of cider industry and cider culture. Nominated by the Cider World Advisory Board.
