The Sidra – cider in Spain
Asturias in the north is certainly the best-known region in Spain for sidra, the Spanish cider. However, sidra is also produced in the other regions of Green Spain – Galicia, Cantabria and the Basque Country. While in Asturias it is mainly poured from bottles and from the greatest possible height into the thin-walled cider glasses, in the other regions sidra is usually drawn directly from barrels in the wineries.
